YOU NEED TIME AWAY!
Melissa and I understand firsthand what it means to pour yourselves out in ministry… to give, to carry, to lead, and to keep showing up. It is a sacred calling, but it can also be deeply demanding. Because of that, we also know this simple truth… rest is not a luxury, it is a necessity.
Even Jesus Himself called His disciples away. In Mark 6:31, He said, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” That invitation still stands today. It is not weakness to step away for a moment… it is wisdom. It is stewardship of the calling God has placed on your life.
Pastor… point blank… you cannot pour out what you have not allowed God to refill.
